Serotonin maxxxxxed at DSA run club it has been far too long. Been in a weird relationship with running where it is getting far easier but also i'm not dedicating enough time towards it?? I need to get back into my proper routine I'm scared that in London I won't prioritize this.

Quick 5M last night, took an edible before and just listened to Grateful Dead live sets the whole time. Kept my heart rate in the low 140s and it was kinda cool to have that level of control and be able to just do that superrrr casually.

Oops I've been really bad at updating this - had a 10M race up in the Bronx on Sunday which went quite well. Just zooming in on my heart rate the whole time, kept it 150s for the front 6 and up to the 160s for the next 3. Opened up the throttle on the last mile into a downhill finish which felt great. Took a gel for the first time in a while which felt crazy. Still need to figure out my stomach while racing as that was my hyperfixation the whole time (maybe worth a trip to the doc's?) but getting closer on my nutrition piece (english muffin w/ peanut butter on the way up, pasta and bread night before, banana post race [shoutout nana roulette])
9/9:
Got in off the lottery for the Big Sur Marathon in April so I guess I’m in marathon training mode now? Did an easy 8 yesterday which felt good, trying to learn how to do zone 2 running??? Is that easy for ppl??? Also switched from podcasts to music which feels good depending on the mood. Would recommend as much Al Green and Luther Vandross as you can stand
